I just had a thought run through my head about one possible way to control the amount of newbie ignorance on the board. If when they signed up the ever popular all newbies must read post was presented to them and then following the post was a seried of three or four questions which must be answered correctly, (multiple choice format), before they application can be processed. The questions could be specific to the newbie post, forcing them to read it to get the answers. This might decrease the amount of people who sign on and just begin to post like crazy.
Everyone else please provide comments or expansions on this idea.

Hey George also,

I put this on the Misc Chat board. You might want to move it to this board to get more response and see the interest.

Because I have lost so much weight due to illness, I will not be on stage or in the audience this year. I am embarrassed about the weight I lost and can not show my face.
Maybe GEORGE could contact one of the companies that will have a booth out there and give them a list of the elite members handles and you could go by that booth and pick up your FREE Elitefitness t-shirt.

You would have to fax or scan a pic of your tickets, with you handle and shirt size to George so he would have proof and not be making up a bunch of shirt for nothing.

Everyone could commit to changing into the shirt at that point and george would hopefully get a return on his advertising $ and he could write off the price of the shirt(George if you accountant can not find a way to write this off legally, mine can).

How about it memebers, would you all wear the shirt while you were there and George does this sound like something you would be interesting in setting up?

Oh about the weight loss that is a bunch of shit. i ain't going and have never been, but many years ago(7 or 8) that was my goal in life. things change a little

Rocco,

Did you ever ask a question on this board?

Just curious.

Maybe to you it was not stupid, and maybe to someone else, it was.

Remember that. You don't have to open a post if you think it is stupid. Unless it has your ame on it of course.

This is a discussion board.

eastarr, I never said that questions asked were stupid. The idea behind this is to get the people who are new to the board to learn the rules and etiquette that have been established by this boards members so as some of them can avoid getting flamed due to ignorance.
May I suggest that in the future you accuratly read a post before commenting on it. The term ignorance does not mean stupid it means to be lacking or displaying a lack of education or knowledge, much as you were when providing your comments.

How about an organized FAQ. If someone asks a question in the FAQ we can just refer them to the FAQ.

Rocco,

The only ignorance I see in this post would be your comments and your posting.

No matter what the newbies' will post, there will be some ignorant asshole to flame them.

I believe also, that you are about the 6th. person today to post the same type post.

So, since you are posting a repetative post, I would have to say that your thinking is on the same level as a newbie asking a so-called ignorant post, that from all appearences, you would be the first to flame.

I believe that the 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 posting of, "ALL NEWBIES MUST READ!", would and is sufficient.

Since your genius posting was and is so enlightening to one and all, you have my vote for the next moderator position.

Thank you for your infinite wisdom.

This reply is in no way meant to be a flame to anyone except for rocco.

rocckko,

After re-eading your post, I have another question.

Since the search engine is not quite up to par anymore, how would you have the newbies ignorance cured?

I believe they would have to ask a question. and, some may still find it ignorant. So, you believe that if they read a post on cycles and there is a pro bodybuilder here giving an example of a cycle in which they take 1000mg. of something, they should do the same?

They will post what they think they should take and someone will flame them for being new and putting down 1000mg for a first timer. Don't say that is rediculous. I have seen doses from 200mg to 1000mg listed as doses. I believe I would ask if I should take that much.

One would still get flamed for the question from someone.

So, no matter what you may believe, if you give someone 100 questions on answer on the newbie info, there will always be someone flameing somebody.

That is human nature.
