I tried one for a while but it did not seem to help. If you were injured I think perhaps it might help you maintain while you can't workout. It is pretty intense on your abs though. F IP: Logged |

The electronic stimulation devices that one can buy over the phone, through a magazine, or over the internet are a waste of time. Due to safety regulations, they cannot create enough power to cause any therapeutic effect. The only ones that work are the ones the a person would see in a physical therapy or rehabilitation clinic. They are not easy to use at all. It's actually a bizarre sensation. The muscle affected still works as hard as if you were doing a workout, but you have no control over it. It hurts like a son-of-a-bitch. The muscle is going through some major stress on one of these. It's NOT something you could sleep to. IP: Logged |

Ordered mine through a medical supply distributer. Just used my name with a "doc" in front of it... They want to sell product so they can be very lose with checking. Anyway, I used it to help my lower back after TWO surgeries. I still use now and then after a heavy leg day to relaxe loosen my lower back. I have used on my arms and such, can really make 'em contract like a mofo.... OUCH! But it takes a while to hook up and I'd rather just go to the gym or use it on my back.... LAte Lobo IP: Logged |

i used this in physical therapy after ACL reconstruction. Only on the bad leg though...and it gained strength quicker BUT it also made that leg more defined than the good leg. Because of this, i thought it may be good for abs as well. IP: Logged |

Just to let you know....don't waste your money! we use them in our clinic and they are primarily used for muscle reducation and for the muscle to fire more fibers on command. It is only useful after surgery or direct joint or muscle trauma. Studies show you have to use such a high level of stimulus to cause a strength gain that it is unbearable to most. People are just trying to make a buck off others lazy asses. No flame intended! IP: Logged |
