I suppose that since I never hear about any other ways to apply Fina transdermally that this is the only chemical that works. You'd think there would be other (less offensive) chemicals ou there that could do it! Oh yeah, could you add d-bol or winny powder to DMSO and get absorption? IP: Logged |

No, there are numerous chemicals that can enhance transdermal absorption, such as propylene glycol, ethanol, N-methyl-pyrrolidine, Laurocapram (Azone), menthol, thymol, etc. The problem is that many of these transdermal agents are specific to the electrical nature of the drug; i.e. some are better at transporting non-polar drugs as opposed to polar drugs. There is a ton of information on transdermal preparations at the U.S. Patent website. Also, DMSO is usually not as effective at high concentrations, such as 99%, so the addition of say ethanol or propylene glycol would aid in the absorption of the drug. The addition of water will only precipitate out any steroid you dissolved. IP: Logged |
