![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As long as they stayed clean and/or sterile, the shots will be fine. Most expiration dates on pharmaceuticals are placed far in advance of their actual date of potency degradation. It also helps that the drug is in oil. The oil prevents air from touching the drug and decomposing it. The potency of the actual drug may be 10-20% lower (rough estimation) of the listed quantity after this period of time, but otherwise will be OK. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() like the last person said, the shit is still good but it does have a shelf life, and once the shelf life goes, the drug potency is cut in half. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The expiration date is there just as an industry standard. There are a thousand variables that will contribute to the shelf life of a drug....i.e. light sensitivity, suspension in water or oil, pill, coated, etc. So the 10-20% rule of thumb is just that..... The drug industry also puts those numbers on there to motivate you to buy more drug once the stuff you has "expires". It doesn't do the drug industry any good if you only get a cold or flu once every other year! If I totally ignored the experiation date, I would still have the same bottle of robitussin from 15 years ago! I think there are some studies underway right now to determine actual expiration dates.... If want to talk about it more, ask a pharmacist. IP: Logged |
