Hey, i am having a hard time trying to find some good quality calories to consume, i want to get around 5000 cals/400 protein a day. I was hoping some of you could give me some ideas on some food to eat. I can get about 1500 from shakes, but i need 3500-4000 cal. from food. Any suggestions?

Steak and Salmon are more calorie packed high quality protein choices. try adding avacodos to your salad, the fats in them are beneficial. In the offseason, I eat my protein and a good quality slow burning carb first, try to eat my fibrous carbs regularly (but slack off most of the time), and then I top off the meal with muffins or some kind of calorie dense carb to get the extra calories to pack it on in the off season. bump, I just went to the grocery store, and I just cant seem to find enough food to stuff in my face. Eggs, steak, chicken, tuna, milk, shakes, and bars, my meals are starting to become very repetative and boring. In get in about 3500cal a day, which doesnt seem to be enough cause I havent gained weight in quite awhile, I need to bump it up. Help guys! IP: Logged |

Eat out a lot more or mimic some high cal dishes Mexican: chicken enchilladas, Chinese: General Tsos chicken. Stay with foods that use a lot of cheese and or oil. Use Tums/Rolaids eod. IP: Logged |

I eat mcdonalds for three meals a day and protein shakes for the other 4 meals, plus alot of soda, sugar, snack cakes, etc. U have to enjoy what u eat or u will have a hell of a time downing 5,000 calories. LP ------------------ IP: Logged |
