I was just going through my med bag when I noticed my Anaphylactic Shock kits are expired. I always keep one handy when I inject just incase. My question is, now that I am out of the military I have no idea where to obtain a new kit legally. Can I have my doctor write me a script or can I buy one legally though a medical supply website? if you are allergic to bee stings sea food, or anyother thing that requires an epipen, they'll write you a perscption for it... IP: Logged |

hehe.. on a side.. every time I go to deli's etc, when I get a salad and they say.. 'there are peanuts in there, is that ok?' I say yeah, I am not prone to going into prophylactic shock (sp).. they just nod and keep going.. the other people are cracking up..  IP: Logged |

sometimes you can get them from the vet. just say that you are out of town, on vacation and your dog is with you and alergic to bees and that you forgot your doggy shots. IP: Logged |

take it from a pharmacist. 2 brands on the market called epi-pen and anakit. both run around 50 dollars(less if you have insurance). any md would give you one if you have severe allergic reactions to certain things....although if you dont have insurance and want to go the mail order route(foreign) its not a controlled substance in any way so it shouldnt be a problem.
