I dont know when this started but recently the boards been plagued with... Ive been here for a few months and now Im posting my first message! Don't get me wrong, I know everyone is welcome here and we're all here to learn but why do we really have to put a post just to tell everyone we are posting. I know alot of bros never did, and I've never officially announced my posting. It just seems kind of silly that people want to be recognized for posting a first message. Now, a thousand messages... thats something commendable.

Yellow D--I think most of us who are "first posters" just want to introduce ourselves. Its sort of an "ice-breaker" and a way for people to "plunge in" and be a part of the crowd. I'm glad to be here and be a part of the best AS discussion board!

Why do alot of ppl on this board just sit around and wait for a newbie to do something they don't like so they can critique it? fuck man, i come here to learn not to bash ppl. do your own thing and don't worry about other people.

I think that a newbie should lurk atleast 2 weeks and then introduce themselves.

The people that are intruducing themselves are polite and doing the right thing!

I encourage it...

I also like the fact that they into themselves after being here a few months. Shows they're smart enough to study first and even more importantly the read the newbie post which tells them to do this. Let's give them a chance before we flame them. Just my opinion.

I think it is because they read soe of these posts and see anewbie get flamed for asking a question.

I think announcing they are here and have been checking the boards out and researching, cuts back on them being flamed a bit.

Right on the $$ Spunky!!!!! YellowD98 welcome bro. Nothing wrong with newbies in my book. Better to be flamed and get educated than to do it wrong and hurt yourself. I do agree we need to cut them a break. It's all these assholes posting sources and what not that give us all a bad name. Later, Green
