   A local amatuer competitor and I were recently discussing his pre-contest routine, diet, drugs...etc. This guy is in great shape, and so the discussion continued. He made a reference to how I had really hardened-up recently, so I told him what I was taking...tren, winny (untill my injury), t-3, e/c/a and clomid (eod). His response-whats tren and what is clomid and t-3 used for? I was amazed. He is 30, so I asked him if he ever used finaject when he was younger...he raved about it. I told him how I concocted my sterile fina @75mg/ml and he offered to pay me $150 for a cartridge of fina...my jaw dropped. I was gonna give him the web addy, but I'll just pick-up some more gear instead. This numb-nuts decided that he couldnt wait for a kit, so he dissolved three pellets in rubbing alcohol, and hit his quads with a 21g pin-he did this twice. Needless to say, an abscess had formed at the site and he had to get it lanced and drained. The kicker is that this guy is a R.N. I shit you not, he is a registered nurse and has to be the most ignorant man I have ever met...yet he competes and places! Bottom line...dont use isopropyl alcohol intramuscularly! You can use it as a preserving agent in the mix if you make your own but it would be about 1-2cc/50cc. This amount is safe to use in the seseame oil. IP: Logged |

FYI I think the way to do that is to actually dissolve the pellets in gas line antifreeze (really), drain, allow to dry, then add it to some sterile oil, not rubbing alcohol.

Unless he added water to the mix (which would dilute the alcohol and decrease it's antiseptic properties), then the alcohol concentration would sterilize the pellets. What this idiot got was a sterile abcess due to the serious inflammation from the isopropanol. NO injectable that I know uses a high concentration of alcohol, due to its irritating effects on the tissues. No disrespect to the other R.N. on this thread, but from my experiences, this tends to be the intelligence of nurses. IP: Logged |
