"A Part of America Died" The news said a policeman died today, and a part of America died. A piece of our country he swore to protect, will be buried with him at his side. His suspects are happy because he'll never stand up in court, The beat that he walked was a battle field too, Yes, the news said a policeman died today, Now his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street, Prayers are with his loved ones!!! ------------------

I have a few relatives and alot of friens(former and present who are cops. Mostly in Detroit. They get my utmost respect for all the crap that they take and danger they encounter in their daily jobs. it's not my poem, but i along with a lot of others have lost someone very close. kinda helps me to read it once in a while... don't cry for me don't shed a tear or feel sorrow on this day for as long as you will remember me then i haven't passed away don't cry for me for i have lived more life than i could dream i thank the lord for all i've had and everything i've seen don't cry for me for i have gone to clear a path for you the day will come we'll meet again and again, i'll be with you IP: Logged |

I feel the pain for his family and friends. I had a good friend, olympic bobsled team member, bodybuilder and one hell of a nice person. He was murdered in a night club, so I understand. RIP IP: Logged |
