I'm 21 years old. I've been lifting for years. I'm been trying to get my chest big, but it won't happen no matter what I do. My dad works out 5 days a week pretty hard, he isn't on juice by the way, and his chest is small also. We both have big arms. I was wondering it were because of genetics, and if AS can help me beat the genetics??Just wondering..Thanks bro's

Bro - I struggled with my triceps the same way for two long years (No AS). Then I found a new workout routine that helped me tremendously and over the last year I've put over an inch on my arms.

They're still not where I want them, but hey I'm making slow steady gains - Not so slow though since my first cycle!

I'd say find a routine that works for YOUR CHEST and then use the AS once you do get your chest to start growing, otherwise you may be dissapointed with the results.

I was just benching, now I do mostly fly's, dips, decline. I saw good strength gains doing flat bench just no size. I can't get my chest sore unless I do heavy fly's..Thanks for the info..

Try heavy presses, inclines, and cable crossovers. Something like this : Flat bench 2x10, 2x8, 1x6 with the appropriate weight, then Incline dumbells 3x10 heavy enough that on your last set you need help with the last 1 or 2 reps, then cable crossovers 3x10. Only once a week since this is a lot of reps. Try it out for a couple weeks. The key is to find out what works for you.

My chest is constantly sore!! It kills for like 3-4 days. I'll post some funky ass exorsives that will knock you out the first time you try them when i have more time.

Just always try new things to make the pump and burn and stretch better. I operate much like arnold did, if it doesn't hurt and thier isn't a pump then most likely you won't grow.

Isn't life weird? I have a big chest and smaller arms. I wish I had your small chest, and bigger arms. I think it looks better. keep lifting, and enjoy your life.

Steroids can't overcome bad genetics, but they can help you reach levels beyond your natural ability. Perhaps your chest training just needs more fine tuning....maybe some diet changes.

I've recently adopted some chest training changes and I made myself so damn sore it took me an hour to get out of bed on Saturday. You really need to focus on the muscle......visualize growth. Flex your back muscles and put your feet up on the bench......or cross your legs in the air. This allows total isolation of the pecs. At the top of each movement squeeze the muscle as hard as possible.....imagine trying to make your pecs pop. Hold that contraction for a count of 2 at the top of each rep. Be patient and keep working that chest......you'll grow

There isn't a genetic flaw that HGH can't take care of!

I have the same problem man and just now finally have started to make some noticable progress. My problem is that my shoulders take over cuz they are by far my most gifted muscle. By pinching my shoulder blades together and using a weight that I could handle with perfect form and I started to grow. If your arms are huge your triceps might be taking over your chest lifts so flare your elbows out and keep your shoulders back. This way you can do the important mass builders like flat and incline and have it be effective. Hope this helps cuz i know how frustrating this problem can be. By the way in my experience steriods will definitely take you beyond your genetic potential in terms of your overall development but often your weaknesses still remain a little behind. This is usually a training thing and often can be improved through experimentation.

Nothing can change your bone structure or muscle insertions.

Bro a pretty big vet at my gym told me this when I started almost three years ago.

Here's the best thing to do about genetics:

1. Say fuck it. Quit worrying about genetics and keep working -cuz there's not a damned thing you can do about it.

2. Then decide whether you want to make yourself the best YOU can be or if you want to be a pussy and use "I have bad genetics" as an excuse to just be another average guy.

i'm in the same boat as you. my chest has always been lagging. so one of my goals for my current cycle was to blow up my chest. well it grew but guess what, it didn't grow as much as my shoulders and arms so its still lagging. steroids can take you beyond your potential but it won't break bad genetics. i'm with ajc, fuck it! there ain't a damn thing you can do about it...
