What are the legal stipulations (if any?) when ordering from and overseas pharmacy? I need a certain non-scheduled drug and might order from this site...I don't know if I can only get a 3 month supply or what? anyone used them? IP: Logged |

Yes, I think the International pharmacies can only send 3 month supplies if they get a permit for it and send the package out as "containing medical supplies". I ordered from a pharmacy in Tailand VHP and got my shit taken from customs...and it was less than a three month supply....I would be careful.... IP: Logged |

If you want the absolute strictest interpretation of the law you cant import these prescription drugs at all into the country from a foreign source...regardless of whether or not your needs are legitimate and you have a presciption. The 3 month supply allownace is the result of a little rule bending by the FDA due to pressure from AIDs activist groups, but tecnically they dont have the legal right to bend these laws. There is a lot of legislative action going on right now to address this whole issue...you may want to check http://thomas.loc.gov if your interested, I believe it was the commerce Committee that recently held a hearing about stopping the influx of foreign pharmaceuticals. But in any case there is no possible way for Customs to check all packing so you are relatively safe from that standpoint...hope this info helps. IP: Logged |
