I dont think it's necessary to supplement this by itself lots of proteins have it already in and if you eat 5-6 servings of cottage cheese a week (that has plenty of glutamine) and find either an MRP or Protein powder with it already in it you'll be fine...Glutamine is just an amino acid...imagine trying to supplement all of your amino acids one by one...GET REAL IP: Logged |

Yes you can, you can increase the ammount of ammonia in your blood, but you'd have to be taking a shitload. It's not an ammonia scavenger like OKG, i dont' know why people think it is.

Like protein, glutamine is extremely effective, although the benefits are not as obvious as they are with other supplements. Glutamine is probably the most significant amino acid for bodybuilders. It has multifaceted benefits, such as a greater-than-400-percent increase in growth-hormone release, and it's the primary component in your effort to negate the catabolic effects of training. Take at least 5-grams immediately after your work-out and 5- grams before bed-time. As written in Ironman Magazine. IP: Logged |

I'll tell you one think I know for sure,...everytime I take more than a rounded teaspoon of glutamine, I shit Campbell's thick and hearty soup an hour later. Nothing like watching a good meal swirl down the toilet. Funny thing is, it seems to smell like a burning tennis shoe when this happens. IP: Logged |
