Anybody else get very small red bumps on their scalp? These bumps are almost like tiny zits, maybe they are inflammed hair folicles or something. Sometimes they itch. Could this be a side effect of my current cycle?

If the itching, redness and bumps are at your hairline it could be a sign that you are lossing your hair. The DHT is bonding at the receptors in your hair and causing it to start to fall out. Some doctors compare it to a tissue rejection, where your body suddenly identifies the hair follicle as foreign and then kills it off. Try using an anti DHT shampoo like nioxin or get some hair loss drugs. I use Nizoral but I am not sure if it is really working just yet.

i get um too, little zits on your scalp??? im taking primo eq and winny??? i hope that Giantsets not right!! ive been using nizoral, and i thought that the bumps were from the nizoral drying my scalp out, thus making it oily thus the breakouts???? who really knows what these drugs are really doing to us??????

I used to get them frequently. I went to a doctor once and he said they were inflamed follicles. He suggested that I wash my hair with a dandruff shampoo and leave it on for ten minutes. This worked somewhat. Now that I use otc Nizoral for five minutes(not that I time it, it probably isn't that long) I don't get those inflamed follicles. Also my hair loss paranoia has lessened.

Sorry guys, but Giantset is right. Best is to use something that can save your scalp.
It does not mean getting bald, but definitly loosing some hair. I include this article everyone should read:
http://www.brinkzone.com/hair.html

I can just include the URL, not the article since there is a copyright.
