Most who know me realize I competed in May. I am currently 5'3 tall and weigh about 162 competed lightweigh placed 2nd. I really do enjoy the way I look currently at 6% bodyfat and am at the age where I realize the furthest I could ever go would be national level if I was willing to place my life on hold and do all it takes. My delemia is at my height when I last bulked up I got to 190 pounds with a 16% bodyfat. In my mind I was huge for my size but really fat as I look much better now at this weight and bodyfat. currently on winny and EQ but the question is should i bulk to gain more size or stay at what everyone seems to say is the perfect body? i have again great size, symetry, and a 27" waist. What I am afraid of is bulking up and putting on more fat and weight which looks stupid at my height plus makes me feel lkie shit or staying where i am maybe putting on 5-10 more quality pounds and being happy with that. Does anybody go through this mind fucking problem? I could walk on stage now and win my class but I am also 37 and need to be realsitic so question is look lean and great or bulk up increase size, get fat, and than cut back again next year? Anybody in a similar situation? Comments appreciated as I really am confused. Would probably stay with deca, eq, and winny possibly primo to keep lean or ??? thanks IP: Logged |

you can diffently add a little size with adding fat, if you hit a cycle of maybe deca, winstrol, and finaplex you should see decent size with out much fat. you have to remember it's your diet that will put the fat on. Eat a clean 3500 calorie diet and you should be fine. Try and stay away from fast foods and excess sugar in the pm. hope this helps. ------------------ IP: Logged |

hey man I know exactly what you are talking about I have competed in a few shows now, and when I bulk back up I feel and look like crap, my lower back starts hurting. I have decided that I'm never gonna be a pro, so I decided to stay lean around 10% bodyfat and no more. This way I look good, for most of us the stage is only a few days outta the year, but we all love going to the beach or pool, and it's nice to be able to take your shit off and not look like a beached whale... I would stay lean, eat clean, and the a/s that you use will not make you fat, you'll just be holding water, which you can shed pretty fast afterwards....Good Luck! IP: Logged |

First of all you do look great and as you said, even better than you did at competition time. One thing everyone will admit is that we are never satisfied 100% with our bodies. It might be easier for now to keep your size instead of adding another cycle plus the upcoming move. Take my word for it. It's hard to stay on your cycle and in the gym in the middle of a move. Remember all the hard work, diet and cardio we had to do to just get you cut for competition? If you are ready to do that again, then go for your next cycle. We'll look into what you need and get you set up. Otherwise, enjoy your perfection and live it up at the pool or the beach!!!!!! Just remember that it is hard to improve on perfection! I think you can add size without adding the fat. I am on a heavy test/deca cycle (waiting for dbol) I have only put on 15 pounds in three weeks. My calories are around 3000-5000 a day depending on how I feel. The fat content is extremely low, around 50 grams or so. The carbs are way up and so is the protein. I am maintaining a lean look, (not competition) and I am getting larger, stronger and better shaped. I look at it this way, if I put on 25 pounds on an eight week cycle and when I diet I have to lose on 10 pounds or less in fat, that is better than adding 40 or 50 pounds and losing 25 to 35 pounds Same net in muscle gain (relatively speaking), but much less stress on body. I am 35 and plan on competing till I drop or 45-50 which ever comes first. I am shooting for the top, but I will take whatever I earn. So, go for the big time you have plenty of years.
