Hear me out, I'm trying to understand, not criticize. Everyone talks about their next cycle. Does anyone ever do just one cycle?
I'm 5'8 @ 170 lbs 11-12% BF, and never juiced before. I say this now without experience. I think I would be enormously happy after 10 years of busting my ass if I could gain 20-25 maybe even 30 lbs in 8-10 weeks and keep most of it with clomid use. 200 lbs would be f'n unbelieveable for me. If I could retain that indefinitely, I would have no need to seek the "next cycle". Am I living in a dreamworld? Your thoughts:

you will gain 30lbs, maybe, but some of that will be water, so in the end likely, it will be twenty or seventeen pounds up.

Then you'll look in the mirror six months later and say, damn, i'd like to put on another ten or twenty pounds, I'm looking kinda small.

And so on, maybe once a year you'll get used to the added muscles and want to add a little more.

I started lifting weights at 160 lbs 5'8" and now (albeit MANY years later) I tip the scales at 225. Didn't juice for the first four years of lifting, but I've done three cycles since, and I'm looking to get bigger.

I'll most likely never be a 3% BF, 275 pound monster (read Nasser), but that's who my role models are.

I think most people start by planning on only trying it once, but once they see the results, it's hard to not do it again. It's definately a mental addiction.

at 170lbs, I say you have about 10 cycles ahead of you before you look how ya wanna look. hehe......j/k

Just depends on what your goals are and what you are willing to do to obtain them. usually those goals will get higher and higher. And why shouldn't they???

yeah, most of my friends think of me as a big guy.

I don't, really, but that's because i'm conparing myself to powerlifters, bodybuilders where, I'm a peer at most, and there is ALWAYS a bigger guy at the gym. Just as soon as I think I'm huge, BAM, I'm at the same eating establishment as Greg Kovacs...

damn, I need to put another inch on my biceps. And get that six pack to show up again....

Those were exactly the responses I was expecting... more of a mental addiction than a necessitated physical one. I'm about 30 yrs old now and after training seriously(while doing it naturally) for 10 years I am lucky to gain 2-3 lbs on LEAN mass per year. I started out at 120 lbs!. So whereas I am still small, I've gained 50lbs. I was really puney at 5'8" and 120 lbs. But to maintain, even at the low end of a 17-20 lb lean mass gain, I would be so excited I wouldn't know what to do with myself (except think about another cycle...). Thanks fellas.

I was just going to do 1 cycle, did it, then ended up wanting to do 1 more. Did it, now I know I'm going to do more. In fact, I will be staring my 3rd cycle in about 1 week.

The first time I kept nothing, I didn't have a clue what I was doing. The last time I kept about 50 %. Lost some more though due to an injury a couple of months afterwards. Also my dosages were to low last time and only had a little clomid for the end of the cycle.

This cycle is going to rock though. Check out my post on it.Wish I knew what I know now back when I did my first cycle.

I only did one cycle four years ago. I was 6' and weighed 175, after the cycle I weighed 193, I kept it all and have gained some since, now I weigh 200lbs. and am a bit leaner.

While that was my only cycle, I am now presently planning a huge cycle as soon as the bursitis in my shoulder is healed, so I guess I'm like everybody else.

shmucko- what and how much? I assume you were at least using clom. Love to take a look at your first cycle if you would be so kind.

i really blew it and alot of cash...
be careful bro....

I'm on board with you Brutis. I am 5'9", 182, estimated 15-16% BF and if I can keep 15-20lbs. from my first cycle, I'd be thrilled!
I'm gonna do Sust.(Omna), Deca, Ref, Winny..slighty lower dosages than E2 suggests.

Prayin4mass, keep in touch. E-mail me and let me know how it goes. I'm sure you will cross over to the other side before I do.
