I've been drinking at least 10 cups of water...probably like 15 a day. I was always told the more water you drink, the harder and cutter you'll look because you hold less water when you drink more. So how come college wrestlers stop drinking liquids for like 2 or 3 days while sitting in sunas for hours, just to make wieght classes. Shouldn't they drinking a shit load of water up untill the day they have to wiegh in?? Also I was wondering when I should stop drinking water before my contest.

Thanks bro's

If you're sweating it out and not drinking at all you'll get lighter but dehydrated quick! I did this to make weight for the Marines and got a mean kidney infection! MAde weight though! Later, Green

I read in Flex that you double your normal intake on Tues. & Weds. and then cut it in half on Thurs. & Friday and nothing on Saturday (Day of Contest).

This is a similar principle to carb loading and depleting during the days before a show.

Yeah, some people really go to extrems, Muhmad Beniza, I know I spelled that wrong, I read he did without all liquids and would suck on an ice cube to keep his tounge from swelling. He also did way too much duiretics, I spelled that wrong too. Paul Dillet did a simlar thing and his body locked up. Guys at my old school would wear the sauna suits and sit in a parked car in the middle of summer to sweat out to make the weight in wrestling. In my opion, moderation is the key, You need to be healthy

Remember though bro, the wrestlers and powerlifters don't care what they look like. If they are flat then why would they care. Usually after weigh in the put the fluids back quickly. You need to be drinking more than 10 cups aday. I work my way up to 12 liters a day two days before and 6 the day before. We need to talk...

10 cups???? Am I the only one here who feels this WAY TOO LOW!!??! Try 2 gallons a day for 2 weeks then stop 30-40 hours out and take the ass end out of some Dadelion root and Vitamin C. Or you could take lasix.

You might fade from the fight but you're gonna find it, for every challenge could have paradise behind it.
