hey guys I'm havin some medical tests done on friday morning, the problem is I can't eat anythin after 12 tommoro (thursday)in the afternoon till after the tests on friday morning! I'm cutting right now and gettin close to judgement day. To plan ahead a little I ate like an animal possesed to try to supersaturate my muscles with glycogen to prepare for tommoro. I was thinkin of doing my morning cardio at 11:00-11:45 and then eating a mother of a meal at 11:45. I was thinking of eating like a big protein meal and drinking a 3-4 scoop serving of whey. I'm actually gonna try to choke down 200grams of protein in one sitting. I know that's most likely never gonna get assimilated by my body, but hey it's better than nuthing right? Can't hurt to give it a shot? Can't let a day of fasting eat away at my muscles all day long. What do u guys think, input and advice would be greatly appreciated, and no I can't wake up earlier cuz I work till late and i need my rest, thanx bro's
P.S sorry for postin here and not on the diet board but that board is dead

I don't think one day will hurt that bad. But then again my diet sucks so what do I know.

I suggest your last meal to be a very large steak. I am prep'n for a competition on July 29th and using a higher fat diet to rip up. This will do wonders for you if you have been on very strick low fat diet. The steak requires many hours to break down in your stomach makeing for very slow absorbtion of protein over long period. The higher fat levels will keep your metabolism guessing and even boost it some. I would suggest that before a protein shake.

bump that. A protein shake for desert might not be a bad idea. I would eat a big ass meal, steak is good. Eat till you almost get sick, then burp and eat some more.

Why is the fast so long. Are they doing a barium enema or some type of gastric scope? If it is just routine blood tests (comprehensive metabolic, blood lipids, etc) then a 12 hour fast is sufficient. If you get the blood tests done at 8 AM, then you can simply quit eating at 6 PM. Yeah, a big slab of dead animal is probably your best bet as opposed to a protien shake. But you should not suffer much catabolism by fasting the period you mention.

I'd go with the high protein high fat thing myself. I get very jittery if I don't eat regularly and blood tests usually kill me. The nutrients will be absorbed slow enough that very little catablism will take place.
