Nubain is, for many, the first step to oblivion. It is a painkiller and muscle relaxer, and a very pleasant experience when mainlined. Most opiates are addictive to some degree, and nubain is no exception. The above advice is right...best to ignore this drug. IP: Logged |

Let me clear up a few things. Nubain(nalbuphine HCL)is NOT a narcotic. It is NOT a scheduled drug or an opiate. It is not any where even near Heroin or any other opiate. Opiate users will avoid partial antagonist drugs like Nubain,Stadol, and Temgesic(Buprenex)-the latter of the 2 which are conrolled substances,schedules IV and V respectively. The reason that the opiate users/addicts will avoid Nubain,et.al is that it will send them into WITHDRAWAL. Athletes are using Nubain under the guise that it's some superior pain killer when in fact MD's almost never use Nubain for pain control with the exception of prior to childbirth. The most common use for Nubain in a hospital setting is to treat ITCHING in patients that are recieving epidural narcotics. Nubain's main problem is psychological addiction to its rush and warm,euphoric high. I have had a problem with Nubain for over year now. Having quit several times for a week or more,cold turkey and with the help of Ultram (Tramadol-a godsend) to cut the craving and kill 90% of withdrawal symptoms I know what it is like. I admit it is a crutch because of terrible problems in my personal life but it is nowhere as serious as a person out on the street turningtricks for Heroin,coke,methamphetamine,ect. Yeah, ultram is good. I was on a new anti-depressant celexa and it totally didn't agree with me. So I got some samples of ultram and it is good stuff. IP: Logged |
