Does anyone know is the military (National Guard) tests for gear use. If so what kinds? My brother-in-law is a little worried and is inquiring. IP: Logged |

I agree with RANGER. they dont test for AS unless they have a reason too. dont say a word and you will do fine. We take piss test about once a quarter, and the most you ever hear about is people getting busted for weed , never AS. Semper fi! ------------------ IP: Logged |

The piss tests they give you are almost pathetic. They only test for rec drug use, but like ranger said, if you start getting a little bigger than they like they will flag your sample to be given the test you don't want. They gave me shit for last year I was in, and I wasn't even on gear! The key is to downplay your lifting and don't advertise anything. Don't talk about the gym, if someone asks some stupid fucking high school question (How much ya bench dog?) just say you don't know because you just want to get "tone." Yeah, I hate that word too, but it works. [This message has been edited by aahthit (edited July 03, 2000).] IP: Logged |

Toned is my all time favorite along with creatine/and protien shakes. I think that if they suspect you then they will refer you to see a doctor/drug prevention counselor. However if you live in the barracks all bets are off if they inspect the room (health/welfare inspection). Lots of duds get taken down this way, just have to be crafty with your gear. IP: Logged |

Like the bros said only if they have a good reason to. The piss test nco told me that you need to fill up 2 of them cups for them to test. I've taken a good eight piss tests and have not come up hot for weed. They also only test 10%. Even if they have a hundred % test they only test 10% of the bottles. IP: Logged |

bros, bottom line: military (read army) must complete 100% drug test twice a year. this test will only show for rec drugs. An AS test can be done, but must be authorized by O5 (bn commander) or higher. The present AS test the military uses cost about $1000, this is the reason for the O5 approval. Not too many BCs that I know will waste that much money on a drug test. They would rather spend it on stuff like training. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I was in the Army for 5 years. We had one guy in Germany that was tested for juice. He tested positive, but after his summarized article 15 he remained on the all Army team. But as long as you keep your mouth shut and don't let people know that you juice you'll be fine. They only test for A.S. if they have a valid reason. The guy that got tested was in A Btry 3/1st F.A. Bamburg Germany. IP: Logged |
