you know its funny everyone says you have to trust the moderators....but why should I. I dont trust anyone and so far I have not been givin a reason to trust. I read a post that said a source was given by a moderator and the guy got scammed???????? IP: Logged |

You are not forced to trust any MOD on this or any board......some of us are here to really help our bro's and broet's...... Dude I have always went across the boarder myself. Just becuase I dont have a status on this board does not mean I have not been around this shit for years. Things change......next isnt this board here for this purpose...that is to let everyone read what everyone else writes about the others. I dont know these guys and they dont know me. as with any source, even if you get them from a mod, check that soource across a couple of mods to make sure. sources do go bad, and one might hear before the other. ALWAYS check no matter whom you get them from.I trust all the mods here and have had no probs, but it is for your benifit to do as i said. IP: Logged |

I don't worry when I read about people being scammed....in 99% of all cases it could have been avoided by using common sense. I would never send money to a person I've never met unless I had positive feedback from someone I trust....like the mods of this board. And if you get scammed by someone that a mod has confirmed as being legit.....well, that's not their problem either. Some people supply with reliability and then turn scammer......those are the 1% of cases I do have sympathy for, but I would never blame this unfortunate situation on a mod. Unless the Mod is a source (for gear) then the Mod did not do the scamming. As far as I know, there are no Mods on this board that are sources. That means that someone that the Mod recommended may have scammed someone. It would be hard to blame the Mod in that case. The Mod does not "God-like" control over people. There are alot of scammers out there, true. But there are also legitimate sources that have a good reputation and depend on keeping it that way to build a successful business. They want repeat business and growth by word of mouth. Some will give references or let you place a small order to test the quality of their service. Scammers are looking for a quick hit. Check references and find out how long the source has been around. That should be a good indication of whether or not you can trust them. Somewhere along the line you have to take a chance to get what you want, no matter what it is. IP: Logged |

Hey Bud, I have been to other boards and now all I trust is this one. THe others allow too many people to post bullshit and never control the quality of the site. You can worry all you want about our mods but I can say they are more reliable and better guys than any other site out there. They have each gone out of there way to help answer some questions and point me in the right directions! NOW THE REAL QUESTION IS WHY SHOULD WE TRUST YOU!!!!!!!! There is a reason for anything I do. This is a good question to post. Maybe some people dont like the word scammed but that is a board word around here. Like 2thick said though......he does not know of any mods that are sources. I just wanted to hear others reactions. Maybe we would find out some new info. I got all kinds of email because of this post. Some good some bad....but it helps me learn alittle about everyone here. If you think this is rocking the boat then maybe you should get a life. There are no gaurentees in this game, you may luck out and you may not. The mods do their best to help people and we should be grateful for that. If they recommend a source and the source fucks you around, it's the source to blame, not the mod. It's not like the mods are getting paid to help you, just good people trying to help. The post you read about a mod recomending a scammer wasn't talking about mods from this board, I believe it was the renegade board. As far as trusting the mods here give them a shot. I've found that even though they're swamped they find time to return emails with very helpful info and advice. And like it was mentioned above there's no guarantees in this area, good sources can go scammer anytime. Give these mods a chance I can almost guarantee you'll be glad you did. It is a given in life that you will get fucked. The Mods can sometimes point you in a direction but given the nature of this business any vendor can go under at anytime. That is not the Mods fault. It is your responsibility not theirs to check out the supplier. You should order small and develop a relationship with the vendor. This is not a good example but the Mods (sometimes) are like the phone book. They are only resources.....they are not the business. just use common sense, ask first, dont send out a bunch of money, and even good sources will have problems sometimes, but they will always be in communication...good sourses want to build relations and help, you will see this in how they communicate with you...as far as mods scamming people, on this board never, they are here to help, and they have always led me in the right direction.....thanks Biz and E2 IP: Logged |

This is a fair question. You guys forget that on just about every other board on the net, the mods are dealing or are connected to a source and get the kick back. So to answer the question, no one to my knowledge has ever been scammed by a mod here, we don't allow any source posting at all, nor do any of the mods openly endorse specific sources. I too think it is a fair question, and once I read it and started seeing all the replys, it showed that others might share the same concern. Anyway, as long as I have been on this board, I have never been, nor heard of anyone getting scammed by a mod. In my case, the ones I have asked for advice and help have always been there. You have every right to be leary of people you know nothing about, but my advice would be just to stick around, make some friends, and you will see in time that this is a good place for all of your needs. ------------------ IP: Logged |
