Hi, I have heard and read of these special deadlifting bars, shaped like a triangle or something, I have been to three gyms and haven't seen one. Anyways, I am interested in welding one together so if you could post or e-mail me some specs, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. IP: Logged |

I have a trap bar, it is great for shrugs but you can't load it too heavy because it is not balanced right. I got mine free from the old man but I wouldn't invest in one if I were you. IP: Logged |

We have a trap bar at our gym and i love it.I could never really get into the staight bar version, it just always felt awkward for me.I heard about the shrug bar and asked a metalworker from the gym to make one. He'd never seen one, so i just told him to make a giant tricep bar.He made it and it works great, you have to keep good form, and i find there's more quad involvement in the movement.Give it a try.
