What do you guys consider big for 5'6" frame? For a guy of course. Right now I am small at 175lbs with 8% fat cause I competed in may at 166lbs @ 5% fat and I lost a bunch of mass preparing for that contest. Last mass cycle I got up to 200 but @ 16% fat. I didn't feel that big even though I had 17 1/2 inch arms. I have only done 3 very low dose cycles so I didn't start really juicing yet. I am just wondering what a good long term goal would be for me. Staying realistic. I have been training for 6 1/2 years and started weighing only 125lbs so I have come a long way. I think about 220-230 @ 10 %would be considered big for a guy that is 5'6". IP: Logged |

I think dexter Jackson is 5'6" and he is like 230? If you are trying to compete than this is a good size, but any guy that is lean and weighs close to 200 at 5'6" is pretty damn large. IP: Logged |

Cool! I think my goal for the next 2 years will be to hit 230 @ 10-12% fat. I don't ever want to go higher than that it is too hard to lose after without going to extreme measures like DNP. Probably compete around 209-213 @ 3-4% fat. That means to get to 230lbs at 10% I need to gain about 46lbs of muscle in 2 years so that seems reasonable. I have never used more than 10cc of sust in a 6 week cycle so my body asn't been pushed to it's limit not even close. The only shit I won't touch is GH, DNP, PGF2 and Synthol. How tall is Lee Priest and what is his contest weight, that should give you some idea what your looking at. Good luck, sounds like you ready... IP: Logged |

Animal what is the fatest % bodyfat that you get. Right now I have decided to not compete for 2 years and keep bodyfat between 8-10%. Lower than 8% and it is hard to maintain and I lose a little strenght and lbm. Higher than 10% I don't like the love handles . I guess that going to 12% wouldn't be that bad for winter. You are striated? What is your bodyfat %? At my contest I was 5% @ 166lbs but this was soft as hell not striated besides the chest. I was in the top 3 fatest guys there and holding water like a camel. Next time will get to 3% on calipers and take diurectics to be really dry. IP: Logged |

Want2BeHuge: Lee Priest is about 5'4" and competed at 225lbs he is almost 300lbs in the offseason. Shawn Ray is 5'7" and competes at 205lbs. This is more reasonable. Don't forget they are pros and I am a level 1 competiter. IP: Logged |

i guess my aswer to that question would have alot to do with your bone structure , i mean if you have small bones and tiny joints you would look like a house @ 175-180#(6-9%bf), But if your thick boned to start with ( lets say of "squat" stature ) then somewhere in the 200 - 220#range would be mighty impressive . ------------------ IP: Logged |

It all depends how you are structured. I'm 5'8" at 207 but I am fucked up right now due to injury during a cycle. Normally I am at 227 at 10% body fat but I don't compete......I just love to lift!!! My legs are where most of my weight is at I think. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Since you compete, you will want to keep your upper and lower body somewhat proportional. That would mean that you would be extremely large at 230. You would probably have a hard time walking up stairs. You should look at 190-200 for a great, proportional and healthy weight. If you stay around 9% then you should look like a beast! This is all theoretical though. It highly depends on your body type and the density of your muscles. ------------------ http://www.angelfire.com/biz5/syringes IP: Logged |

I agree with 2Thick, its all an individual thing. Depends on your bone structure, hip to delt ratio, etc. I'm a little over 5'6" and currently starting my cycle at around 205lbs. Should hit the 230 range by the end, then cut up. But my structure can hold this, some others cant. IP: Logged |

5'6? if you are above 180 and still can see abs, you are pretty damn big.. As for Mr. Priest, that's not a person.. it's a fucking monster... I dont' think you'd look too appealing walking around at 5'4 225 no matter what people say.. john IP: Logged |

I would say At the moment I am between 8-10% BF, and it is on my waist, my bone structure is small, my shoulders and legs are ripped, I hold little water, when I compete, the comes off my stomach, I do have abs and obliques, and show vascularity, the last show I competed in I came in at 152 and the was to light, tell me how to post a foto here and Ill do it, w/o the face of course, dont want to scare you guys..lol IP: Logged |

I guiess its all relative. If keeping your symetry and size is important to you then i think 5'6 190 at about 3% is extemely large. Im a national level competitor and my competition weight is 198 thats what ilook best at. I can weigh more but my lines and conditioning are my strong points . So like i said its all about what you want its all relative. IP: Logged |

Thanks for all the great responses guys. Anyway what I am doing now is taking 2 years to bulk up to my biggest and then compete again. I will get the bigest I can doing 2-3 cycles a year and staying within 8-10% fat as I find this is the optimal range for mass accumulation and not look like shit. Besides getting fatter is a pain to loose and usually will lose some mass anyway. The reason I want to take the time off is that when contest dieting I don't gain lbm usually maintain or actually lose some. After the contest it takes me 2-3 months to get the mass back to what it was. So I am not going forward during this time. IP: Logged |
