Brothers. My entire life has changed overnight. And I can't tell anyone because it would flip them out too much. My company just paid a huge distribution, and now I am rich. My head is still spinning, and I am trying to act like everything is just like normal, but it isn't. I could go buy a whole fucking house now if I wanted. All I can think about is getting my girl back. Maybe I'll go to WallMart and buy some new pillows for my bedroom or something. I thought this would be great, but I am in panic over what to do with the money. Like I am probably loosing $500 per second in interest by not having it invested properly. This is very weird. Man if I were you I wouldn't worry too much about investing anything just yet, unless you really know what you are doing. I would just sit back relax and write down some things that you've always wanted to do, but couldn't. Before you use any financial advisor, make sure they don't earn commission off any products they sell (by law they are required to disclose this if you ask.) Really, you don't even need an advisor. Mutual funds are a good way to go. Start with a money market fund, then diversify into a couple of mutual funds that reflect your investing goals. Check out www.fidelity.com or www.vanguard.com Oh, BTW, Congratulations! Now be smart about it -- don't rush into anything. You didn't even have the cash before so don't freak about losing interest. Invest wisely and remember 99 percent of the rich got rich slowly. Invest for the long term -- don't be attracted by 'too good to be true, easy riches' investments. Good luck! IP: Logged |

Bro go to a local Edward Jones rep. Those guys are good. No lie. To become one you gotta study 8 hours a day for 3 months then take a hard ass test.So they know what they are doing and know how to make money for people. ------------------ IP: Logged |

keep working for now. Make that money work for you! take a look at some internet banks, they offer some good rates on short term CDs. That's guaranteed interest! there are lots of indicators that say the market might not do well in the next few years. who knows? But I found an internet rate of 8% on a 5 year CD. I you have a million 8% will yield about $460,000 in 5 years. That's almost $100,000 a year, without working, guaranteed. I'm not a financial planner, but I'm hoping to come into your situation in a few more years and I've put a lot of thought into it. The less you spend now, the more you'll make later. think of what kind of lifestyle you could have in mexico on 100K a year! legal gear, low cost of living etc. Congratulations. IP: Logged |

the only thing i can say is MUTUAL FUNDS, do this and you wont have any worries. like someone stated before, go to an edward jones office and tell them what you want to accomplish. they will make sure it goes where it will help you most. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Sorry to put something off subject onto this board. I just feel like I know some of you personally, and well, I was excited about it. I stashed most of it into 90 day CDs for now until I figure out what the fuck. I can get all the primo I want now! And I am 1 week into a cycle, so I am feeling pretty good anyway.
