![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You're not missing anything. We all know Phillips turned limp a long time ago. The problem is my wife bought me like a five year subscription, and I'm still getting it. It's just one disappointment after another, each month. What happened to the good old days (before he sold out) in the early 90's when there was actually worthwhile information there, and not the same damn monotonous, challenge for life bullshit or whatever he calls it. I think he's just changing the cover every month and printing the same articles. The pictures are definitely the same reused, overused, and used again pieces of crap. I just don't want that shit in my mailbox anymore, even if it is already paid for. It's downwright embarrassing. Aparently, my mailman thinks the same thing. Years ago whenever I'd get one, they were always late in getting to me, and always opened and rifled through. Now he doesn't even bother. I guess he knows it's gonna suck. Well sorry for my rant. If anyone likes Bill still, my apologies (not for what I said, but for not having a life). ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() No, you are right. Bill sold out. But, wouldn't you?? I mean as aspiring pro bodybuilders don't we strive for the day we sign a Met Rx contract and do ads saying that it did all the work for you?? There are but a few ways to profit from bodybuilding and the biggest one is selling out. I'm not defending Phillips as I used to love the Steroid Star Profiles in the back of each issue, but he did what we all want to do. become a millionare through bodybuilding. If he does it at the expense of the hardcore trainers, so be it. just my 1/50th of a dollar. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() No, ectomorph, you're right. But I think I would have found a way to keep my core audience (the ones that propelled me to stardem in the first place) happy too. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Guys I can go back when it was called ANABOLIC NEWS and was more of a newletter, few pics and no ads. It was not a glossy mag but rather just hard core info on AS and stacks and all the stuff that made you HUGE. When Philps went more public with his mag he found real quick where the MONEY was. Now he had developed a look that many want, Lean and tight more sculpted then Mass. I don't but it any more and havn't for years. If the PUMP magazine stays alive it can be what a hard core BB mag should be, but the past few issues have been late in being published and that is not a good sign, also the last issue was 18 pages smaller then the issue before it...So we will see. ![]() ![]() ![]() Bill's mag is good for one thing. Well two things. 1. Comes in handy when your out of toilet paper. 2. All those pictures people send in for the contest. You KNOW alot of those guys juiced. When my wife sees that some guy gained 30 lbs of muscle and lost 10 lbs of fat in three months or whatever by useing only Bill's products and changing their diet? This is why she doesn't suspect me of juicing. So i pick up an issue every four or five months and leave it on the cofee table. hehe T Bone IP: Logged |
