The following is taken from the Genotropin somatotropin (rDNA origin) for injection by Pharmacia & Upjohn. This is a package insert that came with a recent shipment of HGH. "STABILITY AND STORAGE" The 1.5 mg cartridge of GENOTROPIN contains no preservative. After reconstitution, the cardtridge may be stored under refrigeration for up to 24 hours. The 5.8 and 13.8 mg cartridges contain a preservative. Thus, after reconstitution they may be stored under refrigeration for up to 21 days. All parenteral drug products should be inspected visually for particulate matter and discoloration prior to administration. If the solution is cloudy, the contents MUST NOT be injected." Novice juicer's note : I have accidentally left a premixed solution out at room temp for half a day. I called both the manufacterer and my MD and they said that it is still okay. It is my understanding that Saizen brand is the only brand in which the unmixed powder can be stored at room temp all the time with no problem. But I would store it refrigerated anyway - the damn stuff is so expenseive I hate taking chances. It is over 100 degrees here right now and so I would not accept shipment unless it was refrigerated. In the fall or winter I would not sweat the temp during shipment as much. IP: Logged |
