my friend has terminal cancer and I thought the increased red blood cells from deca might help with him feeling a bit better and having more energy to enjoy his last days more IP: Logged |

i dont think they would help to actually fight cancer, but if hes going through cemo(s/p) i would think anabolics would help with the muscle wasting...thats why oxandrolone was put back on the market in the US..to help people with AIDS keep their weight up...look at magic johnson...tell him to talk to his doctor about deca and oxandrin...i dont know how helpful he would be though?...if he wont help make sure anabolics wont interfer with his regular prescription drugs hes taking and get some on your own for him hope this helps good luck jimbaker IP: Logged |

A very good friend of mine is in the process of going through treatment for Hodgkin's Disease. Though it's not life-threatening, he's pretty much gone through hell for it. Twelve weeks of chemotherapy and now he's getting four weeks of radiation. He actually, so far, has made out quite well. He's been a natural bodybuilder, weighing around 210 lbs. at 5'8" before the cancer treatment. After chemo, he only lost 10 lbs. (which is quite amazing for most chemo patients.) Now that the chemo is over, his oncologist is giving him 200 mg. of deca a week. Though not much, it's putting some weight back on, and I'm sure he'll end up heavier and more cut than he was before the treatment. IMO... I thing some steroids would be good for a cancer patient to help with any wasting and weight loss, and also with appetite control. Chemo patients generally lose their appetite, which cause mass weight loss. What it won't do is slow or reverse the growth of the tumor. Good luck with your friend. I could just image the hell he or she is going through. IP: Logged |
