Aspirin is perhaps the most powerful anabolic drug you can possibly take(legally, that is). This effective substance operates on a variety of levels. First, aspirin improves blood flow by reducing the body's output of thromboxane, a natural chemical which causes blood platelets to become "stickier." Evan as little as 30mgs. of aspirin prior to training can thin the blood to the point where muscle tissue is exposed to greater amounts of nutrient carrying blood, thus spedding up recovery between reps and sets. Additionally, lactic acid and other waste products, the result of heavy training efforts, will be flushed from your muscle cells with greater speed and efficency. Aspirin also reduces edema, another result from hard training. local tissue swelling and inflammation is universally regarded by experts as being enemy of healing - recovery simply does not begin until edema has subsided. Thirdly, aspirin reduces pain associated with training. happy training folks?!?! ------------------ IP: Logged |

I have a couple of issues with asprin -- I don't like it. I would caution anyone who is planning on using asprin regularly to read into the side affects associated with it. Puc IP: Logged |

I bought some today, I'll try it for 2 weeks and let you know how it goes. I think I should be taking it anyway because when I was 17 a got a blood clot in my right bicep, had to get surgery to remove it. The Doc said my blood was too thick. BTW, do you take it any other time besides b4 training? \

I did a little experimenting and took an aspirin yesterday about 20 minutes prior to my back/bicep workout. Hardly a scientific test, and it could've been the Sust starting to kick in after the 2nd week, but I haven't felt the pump I felt in my biceps in a long time. Aspirin is definitely going to be a staple of my pre-workout stack for at least a few more workouts. IP: Logged |

Too bad they forgot to mention all the bad parts about asprin, it destroys prostaglandins, which we all now are learning are incredibly important in muscle growth and hate to tell you this your ability to get erections. It does interfere with t3, can cause intestinal bleeding, stomach ulcers, etc etc etc.. aspirin is crap, i dont' ever use it, in the eca make it ecy with yohimbine

NSAID's are also known to decrease proteoglycan and hyaluronic acid formation, which are necessary for cartilage repair and maintanance. Chronic use of NSAID's are not recommended in athletics. IP: Logged |
