How do you guys keep up with taking your regular creatine and how much, how often? I have about 8 cups of coffee during the day and stick half a teaspoon in each time! If i stop taking the creatine i lose about 6 pounds. ------------------ IP: Logged |

every I have ever read says you should take creatine with a sugary non caffenatied beverage..... caffine is a diuretic which would have the opposite effect of what you are trying to do with the creatine...... follow the instructions on the bottle and you will only need to do it 2 times a day

You can do creatine loading (which I believe is a waste of time and money) or just take around 10mg in morning and night. Take it with carbs to help absorption, something like grape juice. Do not take it with orange juice as it contains citric acid. If I'm not wrong, people suggest also not taking caffeine for an hour or two before and after creatine consumption. AY IP: Logged |

Creatine is like vitamins, just make sure you get your 5g a day to keep you maintained and your good to go. I stopped drinking caffeine all together about three months ago, and that has helped a lot. I used to get constant headaches and chronic dehydration, especially after starting creatine, but I havent felt sick once since I stopped using caffeine. Some say creatine should be cycled and you should lay off for a while, others say its ok to use it year round. It'll probably be another 10 years before we fully understand creatine. IP: Logged |
