My old roomate left behind a half of a Winny vial, and I'd hate to see it go to waste. The only problem is, he wasn't the most sterile guy when it came to injection procedures, meaning he probably would have drawn out the winny with a pin which he had already used to inject himself. I'm planning on drinking the winny, my only real fear is HIV, am I being too paranoid? I'm planning to start tonight so a quick response is appreciated. I've pulled the rubber seal off the vial to let air come in contact with the juice because I heard that the HIV virus will die when it comes in contact with air but I don't know how long this takes. HIV dies very quickly outside the human body....and is transmitted by body fluids...you'll be OK if ya drink it.... IP: Logged |

Don't be paranoid. You won't get HIV from drinking Winny even if your roomie used a previously used syringe. The quantity would be way too low to be of any significance, and then the stomach acids would get rid of the rest. If you really want to be safe, make sure you don't have any open mouth sores. Honestly i wouldn't touch the stuff. Why take the chance, not with hiv, but with other diseases. You said he's not the most sterile guy, is the winny worth potentially contracting some disease???? Definately not. I'd chuck it. IP: Logged |

I forgot to mention, I've had the stuff here for almost 2 years, I'm still in touch with the guy and he hasn't had any bad symptoms in those last 2 years. I never even considered using the stuff until I found out that you can drink it as well. IP: Logged |

This makes no sense at all. Why would you take the gamble? It doesn't matter if it's a half an amp or a ton of the stuff, It's just bad practice. Anytime there have been needles and stuff involved you must stay clear. Forget about "Letting air get at it" and such. It's a no brainer. IP: Logged |

If you have had the stuff around for two years and it has not been used since then I would chuck it. There is a possibilty that a mold, bacteria, or virus type organism could have entered the bottle.
