I decided to do legs on Sunday this past week. Well, when I woke in th emorning I began my day starting my meals and such had a protien shake and didn't eat about an hour before the workout.

I worked legs like I usually do, which is full force. Blasting the muscles. About 3 quarters through it I was overwhelmed by dizzyness and ran to the bathroom just in time to lose breakfast in the john.

Anyone else have this happen? I've always heard people joke about training legs till ya puke but never took it literally until now.

You must have been doing high rep squats! I have done that a couple of times in the past. Luckily, you made it to the bathroom.

Tell me about it! I also learned a very good lesson from that too... which is to chew your food thoroughly! I guess my mom was onto something there..hehe

I get sick about every other time doing leggs. I do them pretty hard. I have to sit down between sets, get very dizzie. When I'm
low on carbs it is allot worse.

I was ding a drop set on hack squat once, and I dunn if you've tried that but I was also running to the bathroom, got there just in time

That happens to me too bro. I have never actually gotten sick though, but it feels like I am gonna. Try to not eat anything within 1.5-2 hours before doing legs, that might help. You puke cause you have all your blood rushing to your legs. The blood leaves your stomach which can't digest food without it and then you puke it up.

DrZauis is correct, that is why you puke. When do legs I try not to eat within 3 hours. I often had trouble puking while doing squats, until I started holding off after eating.

I've found that breathing correctly helps keep the food down, too.

I've gotten dizzy and nauseas that I had to hurl, but I blamed it on my short breaths and the pressure of the bar on my back. It's only happened on twenty or so reps

You need more time to digest your food before legs like the Dr said. But I also think it shocks your system and strains it harder than any other workout. It happens to me when I do pre-exhaustion then squats. Its hard to continue post puking.

So you got a good ab workout and hit your legs hard I get the same feeling from leg training. I literally roll off the leg press onto the floor, where I lay until the next set.

i�ve puked more than 4 times doing 20 rep squats and deadlifts, i now know that is obvously because of brething.
If i dont take a lot of breaths between reps and dont do the reps slowly i would have nausea.
also continue deep breathing between sets and when finished.

ive heard that the naseau that takes effect on squat days are due to lactic acid...since its such a large muscle group, half of your body, it creates a larger release of lactic acid than any other body part or workout could...makes sense to me, even though most of us believe that since we work out regularly there isnt much lactic acid in our muscles

probably a good idea to get out and about for a while before you train legs, I know if I sit on my ass all day then go do legs I feel the same way

Ole Ranger to the rescue....I've posted this cure before....and everyone that used it says it works GREAT!!!

Here's what you do Bro....About an hour before you workout...eat Ball Park Franks....Yup, you know the ones...plump when ya cook'm....that's right...hotdogs!!!

Now, here's the trick Bro....eat the fuckers raw.....big bites, and swallow them whole if you can....now your ready for the most intense workout you ever had for legs...!!!

The reason you do this is....When you do puke, the chunks are so big they won't go through your fingers...heh heh heh...That way you always have the option of putting them in your pocket, or eating them bastards again....saves ya some embarrassment!!!!

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
