There are too many posts in this forum IMO. More forums should be created to better organize things. For example, a 'beginners' forum should be created. Maybe divide up the more popular topics into seperate forums too. Just my take, but this board would be better off with about 20 forums. Maybe age divisions too. Also, a special board that posters could use after 500 posts would be cool. At 500, they could apply for the board. Only they could post on these board, others could read but only they could post. They would also get a special 'veteran' status by their name. At first I thought there were too many teenyboppers, but I see most of the vets have no reason to post with so many newbie type topics, and it seems they tend to get lost in the shuffle. Possibly, you could assign one trusted person to moderate each forum too. From my past experience, when it's like this and you have 6 quality control 'moderators,' people tend to be afraid to step on each others toes, and it's wasting time to have 6 guys read over the same stuff and miss out on other stuff with such high traffic. I also think that an olympic weightlifting board could be added, a team sports board, boxing board, martial arts board etc. Seperation between bodybuilding and other sports could be more clear and defined. There's some great people on this board, and I'm excited...but, there are too many repeating posts, questions, and I feel the potential for this board is so much greater. The good stuff tends to get lost in the shuffle. I know there are archives, but they are a little time consuming and tough to search through. You do all this, fine tune it right, and this board will be the greatest site ever on the internet, with over 50,000 members in one year with better quality of education. A freakin city! Email if you want help with this, or just to talk a little more mods/owners! HUGE! IP: Logged |

I agree!!!!!!!!! I don't post very much but these topics lately are nothing but repeats. I have lost interest in this site over the last 2 weeks with the level of discussions. Trying to answer the questions these dipshits post is very boring. I have had to explain things in such detail it would take 10 or more emails. You do need divsions to make this site better! I agree with the separate rooms. Many of us have different goals, but similar means of getting there. Fuck yeah I'd go to a specific room. I don't want to take up space. An olympic Weightlifting/Powerlifting room would help keep the Powerlifters and the bodybuilder separate- which would make the number of posts in one area go down. IP: Logged |

This post goes to show that you don't have to have a lot of posts to have good insights. I like these ideas a lot. Older guys have different goals and needs than do younger lifters. Certain topics are constantly discussed and probably could support a seperate area. I really like the advance topic idea. You are right, Huge, sometimes the really knowledgeable vets get buried in the thread or get tired of answering the same shit and don't reply. Good job, man. IP: Logged |
