I always put the eggs in the water first then heat it up to a boil. It allows the eggs to adjust with the water and slowly heat up for optimum egg boiling. This way, every part of the egg becomes hard boiled including the center, for that firm yet delightful texture. As for microwaving egss... Ack. Thats the most disgusting thing I've ever seen anyone do with an egg. A long time ago my old granny tried to make me eat her green eggs and ham... seriously, microwave will make them green and nasty.

Bro, put the egg on the end of a spoon, and slowly lower the spoon into the boiling H2O. 10 minutes and presto.

I agree, move this to the chat board

Microwaved eggs huh? Great if you like your eggs to be rubbery. Its really cool when you put a fork in it and pull the whole mess out and it just sticks together.

I always put the eggs in before I add the water. Then I boil them. Haven't cracked one yet.

Boil the chicken first. Skin chicken to recover eggs. See, no cracks!

I can't believe you guys don't know the answer to this question.

First, get the water in the pan up to 200F, right below the boil, then take a small knife with a very sharp point, and then take the egg and poke a very tiny hole in the broad end of the egg, that's were the air sack is, then drop the egg slowly into the water, you'll see a stream of tiny bubbles escaping as the heat causes the egg to expand and otherwise crack and leak.

Then after 12 minutes, pour the water off the eggs, and cool with cold water, then drop ice cubes and cool the eggs down really quick, that insures that the shell with always peel off easily.

Eh Voila, bon appetit

this is what i always do - crack your egg and put in in a medium sized mixing bowl - wisk it up real good to insure a proper mixture - then pull out a 50cc syringe and proceed to fill the syringe with the mixture - now grab your 16g 4" pin and just shoot in into your stomach - thats all you have to, works everytime. none of that actually boiling the egg, that takes too much time.

Always put the eggs in cold water. Then heat on medium for about 20 min. Also if any of the eggs float when you put them in the water throw them away!! Then chill the eggs as quickly as possible when done. Then add a little hot sauce to the egg whites and eat'em up. I also reward myself with 1 yoke per 6 eggs.
