   So is natural ephedrine as efective as chimical ephedrine? For eca stack im using 37mg of natural ephedrine and, i feel the effects, but not too much, i just feel a little more enegy than usuall. this is my second day on the stack at 37e/200c/81a. Any coments are welcome, ---TEM. IP: Logged |

Its just as effective, but you have to consider that the ephedra is not all ephedrine (thats a simplified explanation). It might be 100mg of ephedra, standardized for 4% ephedrine alkaloids. That means the 100mg of ephedra you took is equal to 40mg of ephedrine. I, personally, double what the bottle says on most ephedra products, but Ive been on them for years straight now, and am probobly kind of "resistant" to them. Either way, you know that no company is going to sell a product at its highest dosage due to liability reasons. Same goes for OTC drugs. My doctor told me (I used to get colds a lot), that in a pinch I can just double the dose of OTC cold meds like the cold pills you buy (I cant remember the brand). He said the prescription brand is 1 pill every 12 hours and its 150mg. The OTC says 1 pill every 12 hours and theyre 75mg... but I digress... IP: Logged |

So if the bottle says 333mg of ephedra extract, satandarized at 8%, this means it actually 26mg of ephedrine???????????????? IP: Logged |

If I remember correctly, the products are standardized for x% of Ephedra alkaloids, not ephedrine. Ephedra alkaloids contain not only ephedrine, but pseudoephedrine, and various other phenylethylamines. IP: Logged |

Right, but to not get too complicated, he's getting 26mg of actual useable product. Its kind of misleading because you figure you took 333mg, so your getting 333mg, but thats not the case... IP: Logged |
