Anyone been to TJ recently? Can you share your experience coming back over, good or bad...? Because I don't want to get anything by US mail, I plan to go to TJ next Question: do they frisk you, do they open bags and backpacks? IP: Logged |

Just my experiences, but I'm sure there will be vast differences... I've only walked across the border, and when I returned, it was at a very busy point, i.e. weekend crowds. I was even carrying a backpack with me. I was asked the usual customs questions such as "What is your citizenship", "Where do you live", and "What are you bringing back with you". The officials didn't blink an eye at my backpack. I showed them a blanket that I picked up in TJ, but that was it. They never inspected the rest of the bag, and I was never frisked. There had to be 100+ people waiting to cross, and I'm sure there is no possible way that they have the time to drill everyone about their purchases. This is just my experience. Yours could be vastly different. IP: Logged |

i went about 4 weeks ago...when i came through it seemed like i was the only one for miles...and even then they really didnt do a damn thing...didnt search, just ask me my nationality...very easy....the trick is to just be calm...and buy a blanket or some small nic nac....later IP: Logged |

so far roses for everyone trying to cross. well i have been frisked and had my bag searched thoroughly. i went through at a fairly busy time as well. they ask you a grip of questions and repeat some to see if you falter at all. so just be careful. make sure you have your story down etc. IP: Logged |

My buddy and I have gone on about 4 occasions, drove 3 times and walked once, with absolutely no problems. On one occasion when we went back into TJ that night to party at about 4:00am on the way back into the US they searched my buddy. We weren't acting suspicious and were both drunk as/or more drunk than evryone else that was crossing at this time (there was a grip of people) Slopain IP: Logged |

I have walked across many times and I'm Slo's freind that got searched after the night of partying. I didn't have anything then but did earlier that day when I crossed. Dress in nothing tight and try not to walk through with a big group of guys. Most of all, don't look like a bodybuilder and you should be alright. I'll be very careful next time now that my first search has happened. IP: Logged |

Man look when I come back it is straight detainment, secondary search and some asshole border patrol fucks. I go to rosarito for my gear, I never try to bring it back, I want to, but you have to be smart. If you guys are smuggling and getting away with it you must not weigh over 220, because when I come across they try to shake me down, but the funny thing is I dont have shit. So they wasting their time. IP: Logged |

man it is not worth it, save up your money and get a doc. under the title of anti-aging, they cost alot but you get your blood work done and your drugs are legal. But for one cycle of sust. they are not going to throw you in jail though, but you will lose your gear and then be fined the street value of the gear in most cases! Good luck I drove back with a about 1300 in gear and they searched the hell out of my car, when they brought out the prong i almost shit in my pants, lol, but on the outside I could have cared less, just drank my coke and talked to chicks on my cell phone, it was scary and hilarious at the same time, will never do that again though!!! The checkpoint north of San diego is where you have to be careful, they pull people over randomly and search your car. I know cuz it happened to me. IP: Logged |

Why is it so important that you look hung over when crossing the border to keep customs agents from frisking or detaining you...? IP: Logged |

My hangover keeps me from getting nervous and you don't have a nervous look in your face you have that, I want to get the fuck out of here face. In my mind it makes the guy think that I only went down there to party and that the furthest thing from my mind is anything illegal. Works for me... IP: Logged |
