I am going on a cruise to a popular mexican town this summer. Would I have any problems mailing the gear back to myself using a fake name? Does someone always have to sign for the package no matter how it is mailed? Thanks for any help.

Look for FitnessChick's thread on mail order, it's pretty comprehensive. Do a search, you'll get a lot of hits.

Couldn't find fc's got some other good info though. Can the sender defer the signature with ups or federal express? I know usps doesn;t require a sig for non-priority packages. Does anyone have any experience mailing gear to the us from mexico? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Bro, whatever you do don't send it UPS or FedEx. Read Fitness Chick's post and you'll know why. Packaging is very important. I don't have time to get into the details, but you'll find out all you need to know on this board.

From what all the bros have been saying, FedEx, UPS, etc. have the highest rate of getting checked. You'd be better to go good old USPS.

if you send it by what fitness chick stated, use first class priority mail. because this mail has to have a specific reason to be checked. hope this helps!

Break the stash into a number of mailings. The smaller the better. Package in such a way that the contents do not move around. Also add things to the package that will confuse the contents if someone squeezes the package.

There was a recent post where someone said that the post office is not delivering mail to someone who is not on the mailbox. I can't remember who's post it was.

I do know that Mexicois extremely hot! DEA/Customs list. Use caution.
