Gentlemen, sorry for breeching the AAS oritented discussion here on this particular forum. I only posted this here because the Chat and Conversation forum has become, well lets say less than informative. This may not be a well recieved idea, nor would I pressume it to be ever considered, but based largely inpart to the subject matter "ideally covered", and the more frequent than not "assinine" redundency of posts perhaps this forum could benefit from an Adult Check system. I am under the impression that such a measure would without question A. Legitamize the conversation amongst Elite Fitness members. B. Ensure more mature and intelligent debate amongst bodybuilders and athletes in the ideal range to be even considering anabolic supplementation. Im aware that Mr. Spellwinn designed this forum to be a dynamic free flowing environment designed to educate and enlighten person of any age group. Brain Storm: Adult Check is functional based on the input of Credit Card Information, correct? Mr. Spellwin has an indepth product line correct? I assume his income derives from these products, correct? The Adult Check for the anabolic section alone dissuades any jokers from coming in and fooling around, secondly offers us a convienient way of ordering products if we so chose, provides MR. How much does the adult check systtem cost ? If we are going have to pay why don't we pay a fee to the board and not some third party porn age checker??? I agree if we had to pay even a small fee to post there would be less people that would just create accounts to scam and spread all that testosterone.net / biotest SPAM... One more thing. Yes I am 22 so I am not affected but what about the younger members. Of course we don't want to push 18yr olds into using drugs. Fact is if they want roids they will use roids regardless. Why can't they come here and gain some knowledge and get sensible advice. On top of that, the younger members will still have questions and most likely they will email the moderators for answers. I think moderators like E2 already have as much mail as they can handle. If we turn away under 21 members they will most likely email all the mods and vets with their questions. There is so many people against this sub-culture we call bodybuilding we should atleast stick together like the brothers we are. Bros, that is a little fucked up. I don't respond or post much on this forum because I have yet to experience the AS world. But, I do like to think I ask intelligent questions to better prepare myself for such an endeavor. I am only 17, so putting an Adult Check on would just be robbing those who just come for information and wisdom. I like this board, rare flaming and a curtiouse response can generaly be expected. I agree with swollen im only 19 and have decided to wait to use anabolics, but i am here every day checkin and reseaching. Dont try to deprive the younger guys who take it seriuosly, and also dont come off all high and mighty like its only the younger guys that goof of on the board. First, Adult Check (the actual company that provides the "service") is not free to anyone. The cost is $19.95 per year to sign up for their access to smut. Also, the age limit is supposed to be 18. Second, I know of 15 year-olds that have credit cards. So much for that system of weeding out the youngsters. IP: Logged |

i diagree will the adult check, if it is because people post stupid things, well alot of people on here older than 21 have posted stupid things. i am over 21, but i started getting into elitefitness, and what not when i was 19, i have recieved great information, and 5 years later i am more knowledgeable, but still learning. i feel that just because your over 21 does not mean that you are mature. it is a free board, keep it that way, and let whoever wants to post here, post, if you don't like what they have to say, don't respond. just my opinion though IP: Logged |

Guys i think that there is no way out of it I mean any one can get there hands on a credit card. And if you charge a fee then this will not be Elite fitness. The greatness about this site is that everyone can give and get input. I'm 21 now, so it wouldn't bother me...but I'd say 18 and over though. You can legally get an Adult Check ID at age 18 for pornography sites. Also, I think some 18-19 year olds can learn more from this board and maybe hold off use of AAS until they're ready. Most of the dumb comments and posts seem like the 14-16 age range anyway. Considering I have been here longer then some of the people that have posted here, and the fact that I'm only 20...I don't agree with this. I am not for the 13-16 kids that come here and don't really have anything benificial to add here, nore do I think they should be here. Though they have a right to learn just as much as the next person. If they are not learning here then they are learning from some idiot somewhere else. The last 2 months here have been a bit of a drag, but all and all most people here know their business and I wouldn't jepordize running people off just to keep a few immature people from being here either.

I am 15, i don't make stupid posts, I ask legitimate questions that no one I really know could answer, and you guys here have helped me out alot. I answer a question only when I know that the answer I am giving is correct, may it be through research, expierience, or simple knowledge(ie. bodybuilding stunts growth at a young at cuase you can't grow 2 ways at once). I can't stand stupid posts either such as little kids wondering how many calories in a day they should have, that makes me mad when they do that and then people on here don't want any teens on here including me, I don't think my posts are bad, I don't take up your time with stupid posts and questions. So please think about what you are saying, there are teens out there who wanna do weight lifting and bodybuilding, this may be the only place they know where to go to get the info, so don't make an age check, thanx Eagle ------------------ IP: Logged |

I am only 19 and I think the 21 year old idea is ridiculous. I have seriously considered using A.S., but at the last minute I decided to hold off for a couple reasons. I am sure that I have more knowledge then some of the member who are over 21, and this board is about helping people make safe and samrt decisions. There are many members like me who are under 21 that want to wait until the do the juice, but we should still be able to learn about them like everyone else so when the time comes in a a couple years we can be more educated so we will make safer and smarter decisions. Boys, Bad idea, I'm only 18. Though I know that my body has not reached it's genetic peak, and therefore is not ready for steroids, I think it's very important for me to be able to learn as much as I can now, as to utilize the knowledge gained later. I believe a better solution to the assinine posts is common sense. You can't become a member until you pass a test!!!!! Supply the informative pages from the NEWBIE post, and make a test out of the info on there. If you get a good grade your in, it's that simple. Everyone of us that has used gear is by the justice system a criminal here in the USA. It does not matter what your age is, granted yes there are some immature people out there, but you have to take the good with the bad. No matter where you go you will always find an idiot. I say we all just stick together as brothers and thank the Iron Gods for everything they have given us. I don't post very many questions but I do reply and I check all the posts at least once a day sometimes more. I have learned a lot from this board. Yes I am 21 but I would not be for giving my credit card information out on the net. It is just one of those things I am not comfortable with doing. Thats all I have to say about that......... Some great points are being made by some of you. By no means did I want to step on the toes of some of you members 21 and younger who do participate well. With respect to law enforcement, I think it wise to continue the debate on AS and to educate, no laws will ever be broken as long as your cause remains largely "theoretical". Any of the other members that blatantly admit the use of any illicit product, through this forum with its limited anonimity or in your personal lives assumes a measure of uneeded risk. I dont think Adult Check would be the right thing to do. This board educates potential steroid users. Like someone else said, once someone decides to take steroids, they are going to take them regardless. I know too many people who have taken whatever they could get their hands on without doing any research. By educating people, there will not be as many steroid "horror stories" that have caused them to get the reputation they currently have. NC IP: Logged |
