There's a guy at my gym who has obvious calf implants. They look swollen and ridiculous. I wouldn't waste my money. IP: Logged |

calf implants are a real pain in the ass, they effect your training forever. Tell Him to look into synthol or lutalyse, or get a better calf workout. LP IP: Logged |

Yah, take a look at Flex Wheeler. I used to have an old picture of him in an early 80's magazine. No amount of steroids built those calves... and synthol hasn't been around for all that long. ------------------ IP: Logged |

BP, email Dr. Nadler in N.Y. He is a plastic surgeon who specializes in bodybuilders, and is a lifter & juicer himself. He has a web site, http://drnadler.com/index2.htm He will answer all your questions in person. This guy is cool. IP: Logged |

Most implant s for muscles are attatched to the bone. Theyre hard medical-grade silicone and have a little seat of sorts for the muscle to sit in. Theyre kind of an internal wonderbra for the muscle. I dont think they effect training. Im sure more pros than we can imagine have them... IP: Logged |

Check this Sh*t. A friend of mine had his mind set on getting calf implants. He got them, infection set in and now he is in a wheelchair because he doesnt have his legs from the knee down. Tell your friend not to get them . There is no point even if he has olympia aspirations there is no point. Hope his makes the correct decision. IP: Logged |

Yes Arnold got them. He is not affraid to show you the scars either. He openly talk's about it. It is up to the individual. If you think you need them, go ahead and get them. My wife got her breast's done and she is much happier now. We are not here to put down or judge anybody. Hey we all get our teeth fixed, many peolpe get braces. So what is the big deal. You do whatever you want if it makes you feel better about yourself. IP: Logged |

Felix, even if you are legit you are still a shit head. Those are the worst prices that I have ever seen on the internet. I can get gear cheaper locally and local dealers are a rip off. You are either very low on the dealer food chain or you are an incredably greedy bastard! giantset IP: Logged |

BigPapa. I have to say that I received the info second hand. SO it may not be true. But maybe someone else here knows. I do trust the guy that told me. But maybe he lied to me. IP: Logged |

Poppa - I know a guy in the Kansas City area that had an excellent job done. $4000 for both! Some of the above posts are true - you need to get personal references for calf work. Ive seen and heard of some horific shit! Dr Nadler would be a good resource. Brutis - do your homework! Flex does not have surgical implants. Never heard that about Arnold either! IP: Logged |

Gearseaker, I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you. I've seen the before pictures. There was nothing there, and the rest of him was huge. I wish I still had the pic, but I don't. I don't save mags that old. It's pretty obvious if you had seen them before. ------------------ IP: Logged |

The Flex Wheeler controversy will probably never die until the man retires. Shawn Ray seems to think he had them, Wheeler denied it. Flex had his calves tested somehow, don't ask specifics because I don't know them, and it was deemed legal for him to compete. This may be due to him not having imlants, it may be due to him having implants, but not enough to show up on a test, I am not a Dr and don't know for sure. My opinion is that he had them done, no guy who is a pro bodybuilder and has been juicing for years, and is in the prime of his career suddenly turns a shitty pair of calves into full blown monsters. The bodypart is genetic, if you don't have them ater years of training, juics, and GH, then you aren't gonna get em without implants. IP: Logged |

OH PLEASE Give me a break. Get out of here...look if working hard and using gear don't get it then god just didn't want it to happen. Don't even consider this unless you into the show for $$$$$$. Hell most of us spend most of our time with our calves covered. Save the money had have some face touch up done. IP: Logged |
