Oh man, I wouldnt even try it! I went with a bunch of people, and coming back all kinds of people were being searched. From big guys to 98lb wimps. My friend asked why so many people were being checked and the customs guy said that they check every 6th person PLUS anyone who looks at all suspicious. Im talking luggage search and a pat down, and some people were taken in the back (I dont even want to know what they searched back there...).
So Id think long and hard before you do it...

I have been to Cancun and back four times including spring break and I have never seen one person get checked for secondary inspection by costoms.

Dude,
Whoever says that they check you when you come back from Cancun is completely full of shit! I have gone three times and have never even seen people get checked. Everybody on the plane was bringing shit back. I came back last time with the biggest dudes Ive ever seen, and noone was even questioned. In Fact, the Black women Cops at customs in the airport were commenting on us when we walked our bags through Customs. They were like "Oh, They must be bodybuilders" Dont worry Bro!

Not true, i got checked hard when I came back. They went through all my luggage including dirty clothes. Put the shit down your pants. Check out the "global Pharmacy" downtown by the fountain.

I've been there and never had a problem coming back- I'm rather large for my height and I still didn't get a second look. Go to the big mall right on the main drag-Make sure you bargain with the prices!!! Show cash and they freak

just got back from cancun for spring break about a month and a half ago. at the airport, u walk through customs one by one and press a button. if the light turns red, u get searched (just luggage gets searched-thats all i saw). green, your homefree. i regret not taking anything back b/c i didnt know how it was gonna be. the cheapest i saw juice was at a phar. in fat tuesdays. it had sos250 for 11$/cc(redijet). i would tape dem bitches like a belt of bullets,(like rambo) and tape them around my thighs or stomach.

Yo fellas...I got the entire scoop on this topic cause I know a cop that moved to Cancun from jersey just to open a pharmacy. The bottom line is they can't pat you down (in US) unless they find somthing in your bags. So what dudeds are doing is strapping all the gear to gear inner legs and waist with duck tape. But I know for a fact that they deffinatlly can't pat you down unless they find shit in your bag.

I JUST GOT BACK FROM CANCUN LAST WEEK, THEY CHECK A CERTAIN NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHEN U ARRIVE AT THE CANCUN AIRPORT. BUT WHO THE FUCK WOULD BE TRYING TO BRING SHIT IN,ANYWAYS....WHEN I ARRIVED BACK AT MY AIRPORT THEY HAD A GUY WITH A LAB WALKING AROUND WHERE WE PICK OUR SUITCASES UP, BUT THATS IT AND I AM PRETTY SURE THEY CANT SMELL THAT SHIT......SO I WOULD SAY GO FOR IT

When I came back from there they had the green and red lights as the other guy was saying and they only check your luggage. My freind got checked and it was only half assed. he could have put shit in his rolled up socks and shoes and they wouldn't have even known. Another buddy of mine took a resonated bong on the plane that was three feet long he got from the flea market and walked off the plane and through customs without being checked.

I am going again next year and I plan on making some purchases myself.

Buldog, i think I met that friend of your in Cancun (cool guy). he told me the same thing that they cannot pat you down. When I got to Denver there was a large sign hanging above baggage claim that said "It is legal to search the person, and his belongings", "last year we recovered over X million dollars worth of narcotics". I did get searched (the only one out of a group of 20), luckily they did not search me with a pat down too cause I had a shitload taped to my legs and crotch.

deepcdiver is right about N.L., Mexico. I have a friend that went there this weekend and bought some gear and they were watching for him. This dude is about 5'6" 115 lbs.
He was questioned up and down. They also patted him down. The cool thing is he got is he got the gear anyway. I would tell you how but there are too many law dogs checking this out too.

about 5 years ago I went to cancun , before I knew shit about gear, I was still obviously a gym head and came back in a tank top, customs asked me straight out, what roids do you have, I said thanks for the complement, never used them, well , he didnt belive that , he opened my suitcase and did a 5 second pat the cloths job, that was it,
