Went back to the doc yesterday. He wants to see if he can't get my thyroid back to functioning without using any drugs. He has put me on intense vitamin therapy and is sending me to a nutritionist to work out a new diet. The guy used to bodybuild a while back, but never juiced and does not believe in it whatsoever. He wants to do everything naturally to get me back to normal. Said he didn't want me to start relying on pills or drugs to get me where I want to be. Hmmmmm, isn't that what where we all are at? Anyway, I guess we will try this for a while. The vitamins he gave me are called Glutofac-ZX. It is suppose to replenish depleted vitamin and mineral reserves. Thanks for all the concern and prayers...it is very much appreciated. Mrs. TG ------------------ IP: Logged |

...and Armour Thyroid would complement your natural organic supplementation in the meantime... some doctors are hard pressed and prefer the synthetics instead. IP: Logged |

I hope things work out bro....some Docs prefer to use drugs as a last resort if all else fails...It's not bad, the guy probably doesn't want you to be dependent on pills the rest of your life...anyway...good luck. IP: Logged |

I actually want to give your doctor a little praise for wanting to try things naturally. Many doctors are way too reliant on prescription medications. Best of luck. IP: Logged |

I would go to another doctor. At least get a second opinion on how to fix the problem. L8R ------------------ IP: Logged |

I am wanting to get back to a more natural, clean diet...slowly increasing complex carbs and slowly getting my calorie count up without ballooning. Any suggestions???? Help!!!!! IP: Logged |

Personally I am impressed with your MD. Ask him if he is familiar with the effects of L tyrosine and iodine in restarting the thyroid. IP: Logged |
