Tendinitis sucks. Lay off anything that makes it hurt or you will be stuck with it
for a long time. It takes time to heal.
Depending on how severe? It could take 6 month or longer. Sometimes cortesone helps
a little. You'll need to see the doc for that.

I also have trouble with the same area, as well as other areas. The only thing that will help is Ibuprofen (sp?) and rest. I have prescription strength IB (800mg tabs) but sometimes I don't refill it right away, so I just use four Advil (4 @200mg = 800mg). I can usually still workout when it is not really bad, but sometimes rest is the only answer (It can hurt all the way into my shoulder). Later bro.

Ibuprofen is good for the pain but actually slows the healing process. I had a bad case of Tendinitis in my knees that took 6 months to get well.

This is what helped me, rest for a couple of days then start back working your biceps with light weight. Make sure you get the full stretch and do negatives, 2 seconds on the contraction and 4 seconds on the relaxation. Also do good streching daily. Progress with the weight slowly.

The philosphy of muscle healing has changed over the past few years from total rest to controlled, careful exercise.

Take it easy and slow.
