I just finished week 7 of my cycle and I'm experiencing slight discomfort from my kidneys. I'm currently on sust at 1000mg/week and Ultragan at 400mg/week. Yesterday I started feeling tightness in my lower back, cramping in the rib area of my back when turning, and a slight spasm from the kidneys when urinating. Has anyone else experienced this? I've increased my water intake......any other suggestions?

If i were you i would wait a little if the pain increases or does not subside i would not risk it and i would definately see a doctor..

I second that opinion. Renal problems are not to be taken lightly. The last thing you want is to ignore it and then have it come to bite you later when you have failure or close to it.

if youre not a doctor then you cant pinpoint thats its your kidneys that are giving you the problems. with 1000mg/week it can be many other things. just ride out the storm and see if the pain diminishes..1000mg/week, to me thats a little overboard..7 weeks of that and my bodily organs would be upset too..if it doesnt get better GO SEE A DOC!!

I had some problems just last week, I started drinking alot of cranberry juice and it seems to have passed. Just a thought. Good luck bro, I'm a kidneystone passer from way back......I feel your pain.

To wait and ignore something that sounds like definately like kidney pain is STUPID. What you described sounds like CVA tenderness, most commonly associated with Renal problems.
You are doing the right thing by increasing your fluids but I would definately advise youto see a doc and have a renal panel run (BMP, FBP - whatever your doc's office wants to call it). DON'T IGNORE IT!!

Pops....no creatine, just plenty of juice

Irishblood....I am quite intimate with the feeling of kidney discomfort, so your statement is incorrect. You don't have to be a doctor to understand what's going on with your own body. Nobody can better gauge what's going on in my body than me. As for your opinion on my dose, I only take that type of advice from those who are bigger than me.

Fitnesschick and Delts......thank you both for your input!! I increased my water intake and I feel sssooo much better today. The spasms are gone and the tightness in my lower back is less than half of what it was yesterday.

SSMAN, see a doctor if it gets really bad, but I have some friends that experienced the same thing. The doctor told them it was from the high protein intake, and to drink about a gallon and a half of water a day. Also plenty of juice, etc. If that doesn't help, I'd see a doctor. Another reason why protein cycling is a great idea, gives the kidneys a break for a couple weeks every now and then.

I had the same happen to me a couple days ago, so I just started putting down quarts and quarts of extra water down and I ended up feeling better as early as that day
