i went to the store to buy some malitonin and the guy said to get this instead because malitonin messes with your saratonin levels- any feedback would be great-thanks

Valerian is good but I've found Kava Kava to be better. Two capsules and the sleep comes quicker and you will awaken feeling refreshed not hung over and sleepy. Good stuff.

Yes, I used it.
It smells terrible. For about 2 weeks it worked great, after that the effects diminished.

melatonin gives you horrible nightmares....
thats why some prefer valerian root....I personally havent ever tried it

I've been trying Valerian root lately and don't think it does anything at all (To me)
The first night I tried Melatonin I thought it was great but it never worked again for me.

I use valerian at bedtime. Make sure you get a standardized root to 0.8% valerenic acid. Mine also has 430mg. of whole root. a couple of these with 3mg. melatonin works for me. It does smell nasty.

I takes me @ 250pds, 3 x 300mg tabs of Val to get to sleep. They are cheap, natural and work very well for me.
Don't smell the little bastards though!!!
