I'll hopefully be starting a cycle in a few weeks, but I'm still a little worried about killing myself. I'm pretty comfortable with pain and stabbing myself with a syringe, it's just the part about accidentaly shooting into an artery or vein that I'm not too big on. I'll need to do the shots myself and preferably a spot I can easily access with two hands. Where should one preferably stab themselves and what are the odds that I'm going to Kevorkian myself?

If you shoot it in the upper/outer quadrant of your glute, the chances of hitting a vein are very very slim.

Visit 2thick's injection site. That will help put your mind at ease. If you happen to hit a vein, you won't kill yourself....you'll just waste your gear.

007 said it best....stick to the upper outer portion of the glute( the gluteus medius if you wanna be specific)....its the best site, especially if you are a novice....They say the best spot specificly for an injection is about 6 cm. below the pelvic girdle....the area around there has few nerves, and it has quite a bit of muscle, so it has plenty of room for absorbtion of your sauce....The probability of hitting a nerve or blood vessel here is nil....you are avoiding the sciatic nerve( YOU DONT WANNA HIT THAT) ...if you do it would cause severe pain....

Bro, you need to do some research. You don't just find an easy spot to shoot gear. You can really mess yourself up. Hitting a nerve is bad news. Go to one of the "all newbies must read" post. You'll find all the info you need there.

Ok you've gotten some good advice and follow most of it. BUT on the Artery issue take a break. If you are using a 1 of 1 1/2 needle the chances of ever hitting a big artery is like never going to happen. Unless you decide to start shooting in your neck, armpit or groin. The big guys are much to deep.

You are going to hit arteriols and veinules every time can't be helped. Good news is its not a concern the diameter of these members of the vacsular system are too small to worry about. Thier diamerter is less then the bore of the needle itself. So take a deep breath use a steady hand and just slide that baby into your butt.

Have fun darting.

Relax bro, I had the same worries before I stared. I was afraid I couldn't reach both hands back to aspirate. I realized that once you have it fully in, it just stays there by itself. You could aspirate with just one hand!! I am doing two injection per week, so I was worried about my left glute(I am right handed) That was yesterday and all went well too. was able to shoot and aspirate with just my left hand. It really is easy!!! I have terrible flexibilty but, it still is a breeze. do as FitC says, high and wide. You should be fine.

the outer upeer thigh is a good spot to inject for me...when my body fat is down i can see where my veins are so i can avoid them..but when im bloated and heavier the upper part of my ass works the best

Don't even worry at all about the vein thing. I've given hundreds as have many friends and we have never "pulled back" once. Though it's not a bad idea it is hardly necessary. I'm not telling you you shouldn't, just relating experience.
