![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() lately ive been doing a variation of the dumbell press that i dont see done much...i bring the weight down to where my elbows are at 90 degree angles with my palms facing eachother, then as i press upwards, about half way up i begin to turn my palms into the standard dumbell press position, i like the contraction i get with this, but like i said i dont see other people doing it, so im curious if it could be bad for my elbows or shoulders to do it like that...should i stick to the basic bench press type dumbell press? feedback would be helpfull IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() DO WHAT FEELS NATURAL FOR YOU. JUST REMEMBER WHEN IT COMES TO DUMBELLS TO KEEP YOUR ELBOWS WIDE! ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When you have your hands in a neutral postion, you are able to get a greater stretch in the pecs. I would go deeper than 90 degrees. Go untill you get a deep stretch in thep pecs. Hold the bottom postion for a second or 2 then press up. When you supinate your hands on the way up, you are stressing the pectoral minor... leading to a fuller development of the pectoral region. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() When I do my dumbell presses I start at the bottom with the ends facing each other then as I approach the top of my press I turn my palms towards one another. I can get a better squeeze that way because the larger dumbells are so long that they touch before you get a good squeeze if you go end to end. ------------------ IP: Logged |
