![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It doesn't. Those original studies were flawed in some way. SOmeone on here knows something about this because i read it here a while ago. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Prostaglandin E inhibits norepi release from the sympathetic nerve terminals, so using a prostaglandin inhibitor helps release more norepi. BUT the studies on aspirin with E/C do not show a significant effect on fat loss, except in obese women. For those who are sensitive to aspirin, I would leave it out. One could try using the longer acting NSAID's such as Aleve or Orudis, and only take one a day. Also, aspirin does not affect the viscosity of normal blood. It inhibits the clotting process, therefore when one gets cut it takes longer to stop bleeding. [This message has been edited by cockdezl (edited June 05, 2000).] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() beastmaster how was the studie flawed? It may be true, i'm curious because it seems to make a jolt of a difference to me when i add in the 325mg of aspirin. Do you notice a difference or no? I would be interested to read what you are ref. to. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Jim, "there it is" meant it's right above me. I'm going on Cock's word here and I have heard this before on this board. THe studies only showed additional fat loss in sedentary obese women, not weight-training subjects. But fuck all that science. In my experience with fat-burning drugs the A in ECA didn't add anything except a good stomach ache. E and C work better for me and I love em! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() cockdezl, does ASA actually cause any synergism with the E/C? Or is it just an increase in norepi? I doubt the increase is actually significant enough to make that much of a difference but I may be wrong. I can probably secrete 10 times the norepi and epi just by walking down the street with my sympathetic being as sensitive as it is. I think the risks of ASA outweigh the benefits here. Long term ASA use (at 325mg) will cause havoc on your GI tract. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() it is the truth....you can find the article in the journal of obesity....aspirin was not found to increase lipolysis in any experiment after the infamous one IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Ripp, there is no synergy with the addition of aspirin. It's addition was an idea based on the body's homeostatic mechanisms which attempt to reduce norepi levels, one mechanism being the E series prostaglandins. The study I remember only showed a significant difference in the obese women group, no effect in the non-obese group. I agree with you on the safety of ASA, too many are sensitive to it's GI effects, and it is not necessary. I think Yohimbine is a better addition for increasing norepi release. IP: Logged |
