He is going to the doc next week. He has puffy sensitive nipples. I'm hopping it can be cured without surgery. I think it's early enough. I'm not prone to gyno, so I'm not exactly sure when it's to late. What do you guys think?

I also had that during puberty!
It went away in a week or two!
I think he will be fine, its pretty common.

it is totally normal, he should be fine in a couple of months. It happens to most all males at this age.

Thank Guys, I'ts come and gone for the last six months but now it's been there for over a month straight. Just a little worried. He is embarresed and summers comming up. He is very lean so it doesn't look right. Not that it ever looks right but i am used to seeing it on the chubby kids.

Thanks,
T Bone

My 14 yr old step son has the protruding nippies also. I hope he never decides to gas up cuz he will get gyno for sure. I took him to the doc and the doc said it was normal, but I wanted it documented that he was there for that reason cuz I know when he is older he wants to compete, so he will be using. This way if he does need surgery, the insurance won't give a problem cuz he was at the doc for it in his teens. Good thinking on my part.

I had it when I was young also. I actually had a lump develop under my right nipple. I didn't do anything specail for it. The Dr. said that it would go away. After about a month the lump when away, but some puffines remained. Do your son a favor and take him for the surgey/treatment. At that age, insurance will cover it, and the procedure is safe for teenagers as long as he doesn't go under.

im with massmonster on this one give him till he is 15.. then if it is still bad get the surgery.. insurance will still cover it..
... i think everyone gets it to a certain extent.. your hormones are really fucking with you at that age....probably worse than when you are on.... it wasnt brought up but I think considering any type of anti estrogen would be a bad idea.....Im not sure what it would do but I would think it might posssibly risk his future growth potential... or maybe turn him into a monster

Get a copy of your sons medical records for the future. If he does not see the doc for 5-7 years they will frequently toss the files. Most states only require docs keep records 5-7 years.
