![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Any suggestions how I can speed up ab-workout? I have tried most everything including hanging leg raises. Found only uppers get worked out while lowers give me a headache. What has worked for you? ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() This might sound cheezy but using an abroller to do crunches while holding each crunch for two-three seconds works great. Just my opinion. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hanging leg raises are the single most effective ab exercise ever developed in my opinion and most of the bulgarian lifters, and also Milos Scarcev IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() to get abs we all know that just plain ab workout wont do the trick..a solid diet, and lots of cardio man..thats the only way to go. ------------------ http://home.sol.no/~mrmuscle/ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It's all diet. I know guys who diet down, some even naturally, who start with a smooth pot belly and end up ripped, and haven't done one crunch, leg raise, side bend, or otherwise the whole time. However, to decrease the girth of your midsection, suck and hold vacuums. Noticeable results in weeks, not months. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Diet, diet, cardio, and more diet. I have a pretty decent set of abs, but they go on vacation every time i bulk or just plain start eating dirty. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have found weighted crunches for fewer reps have helped quite a bit.. i had read that abdominals respond to that type of workout.... ive done 20-30 reps and lots of sets and never saw any results.....I weight up the crunch machine and if i can do more than 10 slow reps I add more weight... i just tried training them like i would every other muscle and they responded VK IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Compound movements such as deadlifts and squats will indirectly force you to tighten your abs. Building the upper torso and legs will at least make it easy to give the illusion your abs are small. Allow youself to gain weight through compound movements and bulking followed by diet and cardio. You must use the entire body to get abs to conform. Spot reduction does not work. Good abs come from a wholistic BB program. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Try German Volume Training. I did volume reps and sets and got a pump out of it, my abs look better now than they have . I think its a must. I may work my abs out to much. So tomorrow I may give it a rest. Do 10 sets of 10 reps on the ab weight machine, and crunch the muscles, release, crunch. i finally got the muscles tired. It took a while but the results were great. I also get on a flat incline bench and put a 10 at first then 25 lb weight on my chest, and do sit ups/and cruch the abs with the weight. Its hard, but it works well. Have'nt done 10 and 10 yet, but I will soon. Misty got me going on this one now, in another thread. Arnold tried something like this and it got a name and it became a thing, between BB's. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() this may sound unconventional and wierd to the rest of the guys here, but what got me over the hump from avg abs to killer abs is working them twice a day, that's right twice, 3 sets of 3 different excercises, the first session done regularly, and the second session at nite done with a 25lbs plate on my chest when I do crunches, give it a shot IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() don't just do 10,000 crunches, use a 10 or 25lb plate across your chest, then do as many as you can. IP: Logged |
