![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Everyone tells me that my shoulders are my best bodypart! I am fortunate to have a wide shoulder gurdle with well defined dense deltoids. The probelm is that ever since I started training my left shoulder has always been noticably bigger than my right. I use mainly free weights with plenty of dumbell presses and laterals - but still the imbalance remains. The owner of the first gym I trained in said that it should correct itself over time... that was 5 years ago! Could this be a genetic trait that I am never going to be able to correct, or could my form be suspect when doing my heavy presses? Is there any way that I can change my routine to fix this? Any advice or suggestions appreciated. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My traps are the same way and it drives me crazy! It's from years of over-under deadlifting. Do you deadlift? Now I have to rotate the grip on each set and do lean-way left-arm shrugs to try to bring it up. MY buddy worked out in his home-gym for years and his dip bar was crooked and he has a massive imbalance, so it may never come out. I suggest adding lean-away's lateral raises for the weak side and cutting down on the barbell movements. With db's you either get it up with both arms or you don't. Be supertight with your form, even at the expense of weight for a while. Or shoot pgf2 into that weak bastard!!! IP: Logged |
