I don't remember being checked getting back on the boat. You just have to clear Customs when you get back to the states which is a joke. IP: Logged |

if you buy gear while in mexico it's leagal. otc. now if the boat is in port in mexico than the gear is still legal. they may not let you bring it on board if they find it but you haven't broken any laws. the same is true when you hit international waters. you are only at risk when you bring it into US. waters or through customs. but i don't think they search you getting back on your ship. unless they have reason to belive you have fire arms or something along those lines. There is an archived topic on this if you want to check it out. My answer is : it depends on where your port of departure and/or arrival is. My ship left and arrived in Ft Lauderdale and we were not searched. However if your cruise requires you to fly from Cancun (that would be your arrival port) Then you will have to clear customs when you come back to the states. Hopet his helps... ------------------ IP: Logged |
