I know antibiotics are a no-no when on a.s., but I was wondering if anyone knows if Monodox is one that is ok to be on. My dermo prescribed them to me because my shoulders are covered with acne. Thanks IP: Logged |

monodox (doxycycline) is an anti-biotic. you only have to worry about AS and anti-biotics if you are using orals. the "good" bacteria in the gut helps transport the steroids across the cell wall into the blood stream. if using orals get some Lactinex or Probiata (ask the pharmacist)(no rx needed). itll replace the good bacteria in the gut while the antibiotic works on the "bad" bacteria IP: Logged |
